Gomori procedure

Gomori procedure
Cytochemical staining procedure used to localize acid phosphatases. Depends upon the production of phosphate ions from organic phosphoesters such as b -glycerophosphate. The phosphate in the presence of lead ions causes the formation of a precipitate of lead salt that is converted to the brown sulphide of lead by the action of yellow ammonium sulphide.
